Assessment - Evaluation of Literacy with ICT
Review: COPs
  • Conversations
  • Observations
  • Portfolios

Issues, questions, challenges encountered in divisions:
  • used online survey to get feedback. Find process easy to somewhat difficult, to extremely difficult. No one received questions about process
  • they want to "teach" all the descriptors
  • they go for supporting skills
  • spread it out among teachers and I only have one thing to look after. Not extra work
  • how do you describe what a student has accomplished without going judgmental, using neutral language. Without going in the list of tools or applications, still in the context of the 3 competencies
  • now that most divisions have just finished reporting, they are rethinking how it went, and how they did it. Ts have infused technology in their lessons and felt that they had to include that into their reporting. Ts need a refresher.
  • It should not change how Ts are reporting, it should be the same. They should ensure that they report on the "project" that they engaged in using ICT, but still report to parents in the same way as they do for any other project, activity or lesson.
